The Grand Illumination 2020

Major funding for the Grand Illumination provided by:

This year has looked a little different from year’s past. The Museum will not be holding Flying High, our annual fundraising event that brings in many of the funds needed to support Museum programming, exhibitions and educational activities. In lieu of this year’s event, we are asking our loyal attendees and patrons to donate the price of your ticket in place of attending the event. Your 100% tax-deductible donation will replace lost income that is vital to the Museum’s success.

Thank you to The Grand Illumination sponsors!

The Grand Illumination
Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
outside the Customs House Museum

The iconic 1898 U.S. Post Office and Customs House building in Downtown Clarksville, one of the most photographed architectural structures in Tennessee, will soon enter a new era after 122 years. It has been the dream of Museum leadership to illuminate the magnificent limestone façade, slate roof and copper ornaments of the historic landmark that has housed the Museum since 1984. Now, through the generous support of three major sponsors: CDE Lightband, Planters Bank and the Mike O’Malley family, this dream will become a reality. We will publicly “flip the switch” on the evening of October 3 and allow the majestic beauty of this treasured gem to shine as a beacon of community pride.

Be sure to share your support of the Museum on social media and tag the Customs House Museum!

We are incredibly grateful for your continued support!
