Fifth Saturday Donation Days
2026 Dates: May 30, 2026 | August 29, 2026 & October 31, 2026.
Fifth Saturday is Donation Day! Any month with five Saturdays, on the fifth Saturday any monetary donation to the Museum is your admission. All donations directly support the Museum in creating educational programming for children and adults, preserving our historical collection and supporting our award-winning exhibitions.

Marksman Challenge
SAVE THE DATE: September 11, 2026
Each fall, the Customs House Museum hosts an exciting day of competition and camaraderie – the annual Museum Marksman Challenge, a fall fundraiser. Come shoot for the cause at Cross Creek Clays, where there will be prizes, games, and an award ceremony. Shooters may bring their own gun and ammo or rent from Cross Creek Clays. Don’t miss out on this thrilling event!


Blue Star Museum Program
May 16 – September 7, 2026 | Free admission to U.S. active-duty military personnel including National Guard and Reserve and their families (up to 5 members, limit 6 admissions to include the card holder).
The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military–Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, Coast Guard–including Reservists, National Guardsman (regardless of status), U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to five family members. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card for entrance.

Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day
September 17, 2026
This is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket.

Art in Bloom

Art in Bloom is our premier Spring fundraiser where you experience breathtaking floral arrangements crafted by talented local florists, each thoughtfully paired with original artworks from a concurrent exhibit at the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center.
