Each fall, the Customs House Museum hosts an exciting day of competition and camaraderie – the annual Museum Marksman Challenge, a fall fundraiser. Come shoot for the cause at Cross Creek Clays, where there will be prizes, games, and an award ceremony. Shooters may bring their own gun and ammo or rent from Cross Creek Clays. Flying High 2026

Flying High is the Customs House Museum’s annual Summer premier fundraiser.
We’re grateful to have partnered with Traditions First Bank. Thank you for being the title sponsor this year! We would also like to extend our thanks to all sponsors, artists and businesses who donated original artworks and services for auctions to support our mission!
 
All proceeds directly support the Customs House Museum’s mission to inspire, engage, and educate our community through exhibitions, programming, and preservation.

The Customs House Museum & Cultural Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your support of Flying High helps us create award-winning exhibits, provide educational experiences for all ages, and care for the artifacts in our collection.

Fifth Saturday Donation Days

2026 Dates: May 30, 2026 | August 29, 2026 & October 31, 2026.

Fifth Saturday is Donation Day! Any month with five Saturdays, on the fifth Saturday any monetary donation to the Museum is your admission. All donations directly support the Museum in creating educational programming for children and adults, preserving our historical collection and supporting our award-winning exhibitions.

 

 

Blue Star Museum Program

May 16  – September 7, 2026 | Free admission to U.S. active-duty military personnel including National Guard and Reserve and their families (up to 5 members, limit 6 admissions to include the card holder).

The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military–Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, Coast Guard–including Reservists, National Guardsman (regardless of status), U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to five family members. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card for entrance.

 

Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day

September 17, 2026

This is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket.

 

 

Art in Bloom

Art in Bloom is our premier Spring fundraiser where you experience breathtaking floral arrangements crafted by talented local florists, each thoughtfully paired with original artworks from a concurrent exhibit at the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center. This stunning annual event is generously sponsored by a local business and hosted by The Museum Guild—a once‑a‑year celebration you won’t want to miss!
