The Bright Life features the colorful paintings of Nashville, TN artist Darlene Shadden. The artist has studied with the very best, namely Bert Silverman and Hazel King among others. Shadden works in pastels, charcoals and acrylics. Out of all the subject matters she paints, Shadden finds portraits to be the most interesting. Capturing the likeness of her subjects is her forte. She was a “Quick Sketch Artist” at festivals for years and is still involved in that artistic outlet. She has been an instructor at Centennial Art Center in Nashville, TN for 10 years.
