History on the Rocks at Leatherwood Distillery

History on the Rocks! Sept. 17 – our next History on the Rocks will be at a new location – Leatherwood Distillery, located at 119 College Street. This free listen & learn happy hour is open to the public and will take place from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 17.
The fall issue of the magazine features stories on Sango-Halliburton’s Crossroads, the Clarksville Female Academy, The Chestnut Group, the Mallory Family, and Quilts from the Museum’s current exhibition and collection. Guests will be artists Anne Goetze and Ellen Bibb from The Chestnut Group; Roxanne Jenkins, historical interpreter for Clarksville Parks and Recreation; Tammy Mallory Hall, professional storyteller; and Fred Landiss who will discuss the family quilt he loaned the Customs House Museum for the current exhibition, Piecing the Past: Quilts from the Collection.
Patrons will be able to purchase drinks and a couple of light bite appetizers during the event. Come out and celebrate our newest issue of the magazine at Leatherwood Distillery!
