History on the Rocks
September 18 @ 5:30 am - 7:00 pm

FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! | September 18 | 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The Customs House Museum will host History on the Rocks at Strawberry Alley Ale Works in downtown Clarksville. This History on the Rocks will feature writers and artists from the Fall Issue of Second & Commerce, the museum’s magazine, which focuses on the art, history, and culture of Clarksville-Montgomery County. The fall issue of Second & Commerce contains special feature articles about Clarksville’s music history; the bands and music venues that were popular in the ‘60s and ‘70s; an exclusive interview with Billy Cox, who was the bassist for the King Kasuals and the Band of Gypsies, both with Jimi Hendrix; artist interviews with award-winning painters, watercolorist Arline Mann, and Emmy-winner James Threalkill; a story about the APSU Public Art Initiative; and a retrospective of the life, artwork, and music of Tom Malone. This is certain to be a treasured magazine.
The event at Strawberry Alley is open to the public. The full menu will be available for patrons to purchase food and drinks at the event.
