This exhibit includes sketches and paintings from the Museum collection. Max was a retired Professor from Austin Peay State University and was actively involved in the Tennessee Watercolor Society. Hochstetler’s paintings can be found in university, museum, bank, municipal and corporate collections. Some of Hochstetler’s many public art commissions include murals depicting the history of APSU in the university’s Sundquist Building and two wall paintings for The Nashville Network and Country Music Television, which are now are in the collection of The Country Music Hall of Fame.
