Historic Greenwood Cemetery Walking Tour
October 23 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Customs House Museum & Cultural Center is once again hosting our popular historic walking tour of Greenwood Cemetery, one of Clarksville’s oldest active cemeteries. Take a spooky stroll through the winding paths of Greenwood to hear tales full of local history and intrigue. New addition: expand your tour with a close-up showing of eerie Museum artifacts. This optional addition will be hosted at the Museum immediately following the cemetery tour. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Hurry–space is extremely limited! *Artifact Stories portion is not available on Oct 23.
Admission: $20 each, $15 for Museum members (add $5 for optional artifact stories)
Tickets can be purchased here, in-store or by phone. Same-day tickets are NOT available for this event. Walk-up reservations will NOT be admitted. The walking tour is open to all ages, but some topics may be troubling for young children. The artifacts portion is only open to ages 13 and above. To purchase tickets by phone, please call Seasons: The Museum Store at (931)648-5780 ext.2039. Tickets are non-refundable. Museum admission is not included in the event price.
Additional Information: Please bring a receipt or email confirmation as proof of purchase upon arrival. The tour starts promptly at 10:00 am and begins at the front entrance of the cemetery. Following the cemetery tour, participants will need to drive to the Museum (approx. 5 minutes away) for the artifact stories portion. Please note this is a walking tour, so expect long stretches of movement. You may arrive up to 30 minutes early. Parking is available across the street from the cemetery in front of the office or directly inside the cemetery entrance. We strongly encourage each guest to wear a mask and maintain social distancing during the walking tour. During the artifact portion, masks are required.
In the event of inclement weather, the tour may be rescheduled for a later date. Please contact Visitor Services Coordinator Meghan Gattignolo for questions at (931) 648-5780 ext. 2021, or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
