Spend a rewarding afternoon learning to draw with master contemporary artist and best-selling author Juliette Aristides as she breaks down the drawing process into small, manageable lessons; presents them progressively; and introduces time-tested principles and techniques in the Atelier (studio) tradition that are easily accessible. Aristides uses the works of Old Masters and today’s most respected realist artists to demonstrate and teach the principles of observational drawing, taking students step-by-step through foundation drawing.

The 3-hour, book-based workshop will provide a contemporary twist on traditional studio art instruction practices and is suitable for anyone with a curiosity about drawing; no prior experience is necessary. A copy of Beginning Drawing Atelier is provided for all participants. Guests are asked to bring a pencil, a kneaded or white eraser, a pencil sharpener and some drawing paper. Families welcome (ages 11+).

To receive member pricing, login to your My Museum account prior to reserving your ticket.
