Ludie Amos Dolls

January 20, 2010 10:00 am Through April 27, 2010 5:00 pm

From quilters to potters, these handmade dolls cover all walks of life. Crafted with care, each of these detailed dolls have a spirit all their own.

Ludie Amos, 74, began making her figures out of styrofoam. More recent works have been created in themed series and are made from polymer clay. To create the Artisan collection, Ludie traveled to craft fairs, studying the exhibiting artists. She hand-makes all the clothing and accessories which accompany each figure.
