Visions & Feelings: Work by Linda Kerlin

July 2, 2012 Through August 31, 2012

Linda Kerlin creates both vibrant paintings and three dimensional works from found treasures. Recent works express a spirituality based on her surroundings. They are inspired by her environment, her love of antiques, decorating, and landscaping. She is a member of the TN Watercolor Society, Southern Watercolor Society, Mountain Art Guild, and Association of Visual Arts of Chattanooga. Linda has participated in both juried and group shows throughout the US and her work has won many awards. Her paintings are held in private collections in North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and Michigan.

“To me, painting is a way to convey ideas in a compelling way. I strive to push beyond a photographic image and provide a balance between abstraction and realism. My paintings try to express the memories of the many places I have lived.”
