Randy Rubel to Reveal Log House Mystery

July 1, 2018

Sunday, July 1, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

In the Turner Auditorium

Log House Mystery“How did you get the log house into the museum?” is a frequently asked question by adults and children when discussing the Powers’ family log house, on display in Memory Lane.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear firsthand from one of the museum’s earliest volunteers just how this remarkable feat was accomplished. In the mid-1980s, Randy Rubel assisted Chuck Ontiveros, Exhibit Preparator and master woodworker, in the construction of all the exhibits and storefronts that were once located in Memory Lane. Randy is a retired Clarksville firefighter and Civil War re-enactor.

Sue Lewis, Curator of Education, will also share some of the Powers family story, as written by Mabel Powers Hicks at age 99.  Mabel Hicks passed away last year at the age of 102.

Program included with paid admission or Museum Membership. For more information contact Ms. Sue at sue@customshousemuseum.org or 931-648-5780.
