The acrylic paintings in this exhibition are collaborations between visual artist Jim Diehr and author David Huddle. Diehr has illustrated twenty-two poems written by David, and David has written twenty some poems based on Jim’s sculpture.
Jim Diehr is Professor Emeritus in Art at Austin Peay State University. He has taught Art for over 40 years. He was a Fulbright Scholar to England and guest professor to Lin Fin, China.
As a visual artist, Diehr works in three-dimensional and two- dimensional mediums. His work has been exhibited nationally. Jim has studied in Europe; as well as the Arts Student League in New York City. He holds degrees of B.F.A. in Studio Art, M.A., Ed. S. and Ph.D.
With an interest in symbolism, Jim believes art should tell a story as a visual language.
