July 27, 2011 Through October 2, 2011

A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Buddy Jackson was educated at the University of Tennessee where he studied Oil Painting. He was first exposed to sculpture as a part of the Fine Arts curriculum. Buddy moved to Nashville, working as a graphic designer. After 20 years in the commercial design industry , he sold his businuss in order to devote more time to sculpting.

Jackson sculpts with handmade tools that he carves out of ebony. Originally sculpting from live models, Buddy now works from his own sketches. His work can be found in public and private collections throughout the country, including Vanderbilt Medical Center, and the Tennessee State Museum. He is represented by the Zeitgeist Gallery in Nashville.
