Art 4 Us: Free Art Workshops for High School & College Students

The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center will offer free art classes to high school and college students during the month of April.

A painting and a sculpting class for college students will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4. Students may sign up for either class. The painting and sculpting classes for high school students will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7.

The drawing and multi-media classes for college students will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on April 25. The drawing and multi-media classes for high school students will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on April 28.

All those who wish to attend must register at the museum at least one week before the date of the class or classes they would like to attend. A parent or guardian must register for anyone younger than 18 years old.

These classes are made possible through a generous Arts Engagement in American Communities grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. This funding has allowed us to offer a series of free art-making experiences for 1st – 12th graders and college students, as well as artists’ presentations for families on our Second Saturday Free Day.
